As a Product Owner, Internal Applications, you'll own the direction of those systems and the backlog that shapes them. You'll partner with stakeholders across sales, procurement, finance, and operations to understand how the work actually gets done, translate what you hear into clear user stories and acceptance criteria, and maintain a prioritized backlog the whole organization can see and trust. NetSuite sits at the center of that portfolio, so you'll need enough fluency in the platform to scope enhancements realistically, weigh configuration against customization, and plan around release cycles — with hands-on configuration where it makes sense to move something forward yourself. This position reports to the Product Owner – IT Development Team.
What you'll do
- Own and maintain the product backlog for our business systems — writing clear user stories and acceptance criteria, ranking work by business value, and keeping priorities visible and current for everyone who depends on them.
- Engage stakeholders across sales, procurement, finance, and operations to understand how the work actually gets done, surface pain points, and reconcile competing requests into a single prioritized roadmap.
- Evaluate whether a request is best solved through configuration, customization, integration, or a process change — using working knowledge of the NetSuite and Salesforce platforms to scope effort realistically before committing to it.
- Build and maintain reports, saved searches, dashboards, and KPIs that give each function visibility into pipeline, quoting, procurement, fulfillment, and financial performance.
- Manage integrations and data flow between the CRM, quoting, accounting, and procurement systems — monitoring for failures, resolving sync errors, and coordinating fixes with technical resources.
- Own release and change management: evaluate release notes, test in sandbox, coordinate UAT with business stakeholders, and deploy with documented rollback plans.
- Support compliance and audit requirements tied to federal contracting — maintaining segregation of duties, approval controls, audit trails, and accurate contract, pricing, and compliance data.
- Provide tier-2 support and end-user training, including documentation, job aids, and process guides that reduce repeat questions and improve adoption.
- Partner with IT, business stakeholders, and leadership to align the systems roadmap with business goals, and ensure all deliverables are accurate, documented, and delivered on schedule.
- Continually grow your systems expertise through platform releases, new tools, certifications, and feedback.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field — or equivalent professional experience
- A demonstrated drive to analyze business processes and design system automations that remove manual effort and improve efficiency
- Natural curiosity about how the business runs and an instinct for spotting where a process could be simplified, standardized, or automated — paired with the follow-through to turn that observation into a delivered improvement
- Proven ability to take an enhancement from request to release — gathering requirements, documenting them clearly, configuring the solution, coordinating testing with business users, and deploying it
- Strong reporting and analysis skills, including building saved searches, reports, and dashboards, and comfort working with data imports, exports, and cleanup at volume
- Experience supporting system integrations and troubleshooting data flow between connected applications
- Strong attention to detail and the discipline to maintain documentation, naming standards, and change records across multiple systems
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work directly with sales, finance, procurement, and operations stakeholders
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint
- S. citizenship (required)
